Derek glared dangerously at the new inmate sitting across from him, a mock laugh escaping his lips as he clasped his hands together on the desk and leaned forward.
"I don’t think you understand, you moron.”
"The amount of shits I could give is nonexistent."
Sebastian smirked, crossing his arms as he leaned back in his chair.
They stared at each other coldly before Derek smiled with the faintest hint of cruelty, examining his fingernails.
"You’re after Julian, aren’t you."
Sebastian’s smirk grew.
"And if I am?"
Derek raised an eyebrow, “You have insurance?”
Sebastian shook his head in confusion, smile faltering only slightly, “What’s the point of this ques—”
"Because unless you haven’t noticed, Logan Wright has a bit of a.. record here. A big one." Derek said, whispering the last bit.
Sebastian chuckled under his breath, “Don’t we all?”
Derek raised both eyebrows at that, tilting his head, “While you have a point… Julian’s not yours to take.”
Sebastian froze for a moment, and only a moment before mimicking Derek’s actions of leaning forward.
"He’s Logan’s, then. Is that what you’re trying to tell me?"
Derek nodded, giving a tight smile and standing up, slamming his hand down on the metal table.
"Julian doesn’t like to think so, but he’s Logan’s property, whether he likes it or not. Also… Julian can control Logan in a way none of us can."
"What do you—"
“Meaning… Julian is the light of Logan’s life in this shithole,” Derek continued, walking around to loom over his sitting target, his eyes narrowed in a venomous glare, “after three years of waiting. Three long, hard, years of waiting, they’ve got each other. More than I have them.”
Sebastian swallowed as Derek leaned down to his ear, his whisper turning to a near growl.
"And if you put out that light that Logan’s got… You’re unleashing something way more dangerous than a simple crook. You’re unleashing a merciless beast that’s going to snap your bones in half, grind them to dust, and piss all over the powder, and cover dirt over the remains like they never even existed.”
Derek stood up straight, jaw set in a firm line. Satisfied with the pale disposition Sebastian took on, he smirked, clapping him on the shoulder as his expression lightened up. He smiled brightly in his direction, opening the door out of the interrogation room.
"So basically, don’t fuck up, stay away from Julian, don’t piss off Logan, and everything here will go peachy smooth. Got it?" He asked cheerfully, the other nodding slowly.
The smile disappeared from Derek’s face as he growled, “Good.”
And he slammed the door shut, plunging the room into darkness.
